As probably most of you already know on the 10th of July 2012 the Spanish government introduced details of the new residency requirements for all EU citizens, including British nationals.

Under the new rules, EU citizens applying for new residency in Spain will be required to produce evidence of sufficient financial means to support themselves (and dependants…), and also will be asked for proof of private or public healthcare insurance ( S1/E121 form issued by the home country in native language is accepted as proof of medical cover).

Well, from November 2013 Residencia Certificates and New Green Residencia Cards do not expire, they are valid for a lifetime unlike before when the card was renewable after 5 years.
